Victim session compromise via stored script injection
Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in Home Owners Collection Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via collected_by. The save_collection handler accepts the collected_by form value and stores script markup that the Collections view later renders without neutralization. Access to the admin panel is required to submit the payload, and a user must open the affected view; script execution can expose that user's session.
