Internal resource access via unrestricted proxy URL
Published Jan 12, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2025
Server-side request forgery in Rocket TRUfusion Enterprise 7.9.2.1 through 7.9.5.0 allows remote attackers to access internal services. The upDwModuleProxy servlet passes the attacker-controlled upDwUrl value into an outbound HTTP request without restricting its destination, causing the portal server to proxy requests to arbitrary domains and internal IP addresses. No credentials or user interaction are required, and responses can disclose sensitive internal webpages or cloud instance metadata when the portal can reach those resources.
