Remote code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Home Owners Collection Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a PHP file. The /student_attendance/index.php upload path accepts a PHP file without restricting its dangerous type and makes it web-accessible for execution. The published proof of concept reaches the upload through an administrative page, but the required account state is not documented; successful upload grants command execution as the web server.
