Credential theft via reflected login-page scripts
Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in IceHRM 30.0.0.OS allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser through crafted login.php URLs. login.php inserts key directly into a quoted JavaScript value without context-appropriate encoding, while content=HTML disables filtering that otherwise covers fm. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted link; script running in the login-page origin can capture credentials entered there.
