Database disclosure via unsanitized doctor ID query
Published Feb 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Hospital Patient Record Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to read database records through the doctor-view id parameter. The /admin/doctors/view_doctor.php endpoint incorporates the GET id value into a MySQL WHERE clause without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean-, error-, time-, and UNION-based queries. No authentication or user interaction is required, and demonstrated exploitation extracts user names and password hashes, exposing administrative and patient data.
