Unauthenticated service interruption via unchecked time parsing
Published Mar 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stack overflow in Tenda AX3 16.03.12.10_CN allows remote attackers to interrupt router service via a crafted time parameter. The /goform/SetSysTimeCfg handler passes the time value to unchecked sscanf parsing in fromSetSysTime, overflowing a stack buffer. The endpoint has no stated authentication gate; the CVE confirms denial of service, while the researcher separately claims code execution.
