Remote code execution via client-side upload validation
Published Feb 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in JQueryForm.com forms before 2022-02-05 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted upload. Generated upload handlers rely on bypassable client-side extension checks and permit executable .phtml or .php.bak content on the server. No authentication is required, but file uploads must be enabled and the server must execute the uploaded type at its disclosed path.
