Secure boot bypass via out-of-bounds GBL write

An out-of-bounds write in Gecko Bootloader 4.0.1 and earlier allows attackers to overwrite flash signing and OTA decryption keys. The GBL parser processes malicious bootloader-upgrade data beyond its intended memory bounds, allowing that data to reach security-key storage. An unauthenticated attacker able to deliver an upgrade through an adjacent device interface can bypass application secure boot and disrupt affected devices.
