Arbitrary file read via unsafe send_file path
Published Apr 29, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Path traversal in onlaj Piano LED Visualizer 1.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through its web API. The change_setting route passes attacker-controlled value data to Flask send_file after joining it to the Songs path; an absolute path discards the intended directory. Unauthenticated access to the local-network web interface is sufficient, and successful exploitation discloses files readable by the service.
