CVE-2022-24890Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Webcam exposure via combined permission-state handling

Published May 17, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Information disclosure in Nextcloud Talk before 13.0.5 allows remote authenticated users acting as call moderators to expose user webcams. The Web UI treats audio and video permissions as one combined state, so a single permission change can incorrectly reconnect an enabled video track. Exposure requires moderator access and a participant who enabled the webcam before its permission was removed; the bounded impact is unauthorized live video viewing.
