User redirection via unvalidated Deck metadata URL
Published Apr 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Open redirect in Nextcloud Talk before 11.3.4, 12.2.2, and 13.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to send arbitrary links. The Deck-card rich-object metadata path accepts a client-controlled URL and renders it as the card link without restricting it to trusted domains. A sender must be able to share a Deck card in a conversation, and a recipient must open the link to be redirected to an attacker-chosen site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
