CVE-2022-2488Public exploit

Authenticated command execution via unfiltered IP parameter

Published Jul 20, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

OS command injection in Wavlink HALO Base WN535K2 and WN535K3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands via a crafted IP parameter. The touchlist_sync.cgi handler passes the IP query value to an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters, as shown by a semicolon-delimited payload. Adjacent-network and low-privilege access are required; successful exploitation runs commands with the router service's privileges and can fully affect device data and operation.
