Stored cross-site scripting via SVG avatar upload
Published Apr 21, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in GLPI before 10.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. User::prepareInputForUpdate accepted SVG avatars using Toolbox::getMime rather than Document::isImage before moving them into picture storage. An account is required to upload the avatar, and another user must view it; the injected script then executes in that viewer's browser.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
