CVE-2022-2485

Credential disclosure via password-bearing web responses

Published Aug 31, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025

Cleartext credential transmission in AutomationDirect STRIDE Field I/O allows adjacent attackers to obtain the device password. The embedded web login handler places the stored password in response packets after either successful or failed login attempts. Exploitation requires access to capture the device's unencrypted HTTP traffic; the directly established consequence is credential disclosure.
