Privilege escalation in MinIO before RELEASE.2022-04-12T06-55-35Z allows remote authenticated users to obtain root-equivalent policies. The AddServiceAccount handler evaluates admin:CreateServiceAccount with DenyOnly enabled, letting a regular user specify another user's access key and mint credentials under that identity. Any authenticated non-admin with administrative API reachability can create a service account for root or another administrator and assume the target's access policies.
