Cross-team privilege expansion via unchecked membership change
Published Apr 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Authorization bypass in Fleet before 4.13 allows remote authenticated users to gain roles on teams outside their assigned team. The team membership authorization path accepts a team administrator's request to add the same account to another team without verifying authority over that target team. Fleet Premium must use teams and restricted team accounts; exploitation expands cross-team access and exposes additional instance data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
