CVE-2022-2484

Arbitrary code execution via bypassed firmware signature

Published Jan 6, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Improper boot-code access control in Nokia ASIK AirScale 474021A.101 allows local users to execute modified firmware. The system module's signature check accepts attacker-modified firmware, permitting a malicious kernel, arbitrary programs, or altered Nokia programs to run. Low-privilege local access is required, and successful exploitation replaces trusted device code, compromising integrity and availability.
