Server crash via forwarded Trailer header
Published Apr 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Uncaught exception in Podium @podium/proxy before 4.2.74 allows remote attackers to crash proxy servers via a Trailer request header. The proxy request path retains the untrusted Trailer header when constructing an upstream request, and the resulting uncaught exception terminates the server. Exploitation requires unauthenticated network access to a configured proxy endpoint and interrupts availability without reported data exposure or modification.
