Improper input validation in Net-SNMP before 5.9.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter data through malformed OID SET requests. In netsnmp_check_requests_status(), the master agent fails to restore an error status when a SET mixes locally handled objects with delegated AgentX subagent objects, allowing the malformed transaction to continue. A read-write SNMP credential and a mixed master-agent/subagent SET are required; the published CNA assessment bounds the consequence to integrity loss without disclosure or service interruption.
