CVE-2022-24796Network attack vector

Root command execution via query-string eval

Published Mar 31, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

OS command injection in OpenCCU 2.31.25.20180428 through 3.61.7.20220226 allows remote attackers to execute root commands via WebUI. The fileupload.ccc CGI script passes the HTTP query string to shell eval after replacing ampersands with semicolons, so metacharacters become root shell syntax. Network access to the default port 80 or 443 WebUI is sufficient and requires no authentication; successful exploitation grants control of the hub and its components.
