CVE-2022-2479Network attack vector

Internal file disclosure via insufficient input validation

Published Jul 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper input validation in Chrome's File component before 103.0.5060.134 allows attackers to read internal file data via crafted HTML. Public records do not disclose which input the File component fails to validate or how the page reaches internal directories. Exploitation requires convincing a user to install a malicious Android app and load crafted HTML, and the documented impact is limited to potentially sensitive information disclosure.
