Authenticated remote code execution via Twig template injection
Published Apr 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Server-side template injection in Combodo iTop before 2.7.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary server commands. ObjectFormManager accepts client-controlled formmanager_data, permits layout.type to select Twig, and evaluates injected expressions in data-field attributes. A user portal account is required; successful exploitation runs operating-system commands with the HTTP server user's privileges.
