Directory creation or deletion via path traversal
Published Mar 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Path traversal in CycloneDX BOM Repository Server before 2.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to create or delete arbitrary directories. The project has not disclosed the affected parameter or filesystem operation beyond identifying improper validation that permits path traversal. Exploitation requires POST or DELETE to be enabled and can alter the filesystem or interrupt service; both methods are disabled by default.
