CVE-2022-24730Network attack vector

Authenticated file disclosure via repository path traversal

Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Path traversal in the Argo CD repo-server allows remote authenticated users with repository read access to read out-of-bounds files. The appdetails handler accepts a crafted repository request that names a path outside the Helm repository and returns the file content in its response or an error message. Exploitation requires get access to a repository containing a Helm chart and knowledge or a guess of the target path; exposed data is limited to files readable by the repo-server.
