CVE-2022-24721Network attack vector

Cluster data exposure and modification via unprotected channels

Published Mar 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Incorrect authorization in CometD Oort and Seti allows remote attackers to read or alter cluster data through protected channels. Oort and Seti did not attach authorizers to their internal channel patterns or filter those messages from global wildcard subscribers. An established remote Bayeux session is sufficient; subscriptions expose cluster traffic, while publications alter user data or cluster structure.
