Improper input validation in Janko Marohnić image_processing before 1.12.2 allows remote attackers to execute shell commands via crafted operations. The #apply method dispatches caller-supplied operation names with Ruby send, exposing private Kernel#system and Kernel#spawn methods to shell execution. Exploitation requires an application such as Active Storage to pass attacker-controlled operations; successful commands run with that application's privileges.
