CVE-2022-2472

Administrator password disclosure via uninitialized client memory

Published Sep 15, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Authentication bypass in EZVIZ CS-C6N-A0-1C2WFR before 5.3.0 build 220428 lets remote attackers recover the admin password. The local service on port 8000 leaves client-detail memory uninitialized until a legitimate login, so a forged request with predictable values passes validation and returns the password XORed with 0x738b5544. Exploitation requires local-network reachability and a freshly started service with no prior authenticated client; the recovered credential grants full camera access.
