Code execution via crafted scene file parsing

Memory corruption in Siemens Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Viewer before 2022.1 allows attackers to execute code by opening a crafted .SCE file. Siemens identifies the locus as the starview+.exe scene parser but has not published the malformed field or memory operation that causes corruption. A user must open the untrusted file; successful exploitation can crash the viewer, extract host data, or run code with the user's process rights.
