User enumeration via crafted shared-path requests
Published Feb 22, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in FileCloud before 21.3 allows remote attackers to identify valid user accounts through crafted share paths. The share-information endpoint accepts a path beginning with /SHARED/ followed by a candidate username and returns distinguishable results based on whether that username exists. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the disclosed information is limited to account existence.
