Wi-Fi passphrase disclosure via client-side field styling
Published Feb 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Credential disclosure in Alecto DVC-215IP firmware before 63.1.1.173 allows remote attackers to read the camera's Wi-Fi passphrase. The network settings page places the cleartext passphrase in a password field and relies on client-side styling alone to conceal it. No prior privileges or user interaction are required; exposure is limited to the stored wireless credential and consequent internal-network access.
