Cross-site scripting in Burden v3.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts via a crafted task parameter in Add Category. The Add Category function stores attacker-controlled task input and later renders it as web content without neutralization, causing stored script or HTML execution in a viewing browser. Exploitation requires a victim to view the affected content, and the demonstrated impact is client-side script execution within that user’s web session.
