CVE-2022-2458Network attack vector

Internal file disclosure via external XML entities

Published Aug 9, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

XXE in Red Hat Process Automation Manager before 7.13.1 allows remote attackers to read internal files through Business Central or KIE Server APIs. Weak XML parser settings resolve attacker-controlled external entity URIs outside the intended trust boundary and embed the fetched content. Network access to an XML-processing interface is sufficient; the bounded impact is internal file disclosure and outbound service interaction.
