Administrator access via stored User-Agent script
Published Mar 3, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Element-IT HTTP Commander 7.0.0 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator access through a crafted User-Agent value. The admin panel's Logs tab inserts the recorded User-Agent into the {more_info} template without HTML encoding, so viewing the entry executes the stored script. Exploitation requires no attacker account but does require an administrator to open the affected Logs tab, after which the script runs in that administrator's browser context.
