Authenticated privilege escalation via SQL injection

Elevation of privilege in Azure Site Recovery Configuration Server before 9.47.6219.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain higher privileges. The Configuration Server’s SQL handling accepts attacker-controlled input without adequate sanitization, enabling privilege escalation when valid administrative credentials for an ASR-protected virtual machine are available. Microsoft reports that the issue affects replication components only and has not observed exploitation; the Azure-hosted control plane and customer workloads are not exposed to cross-tenant compromise.
