CVE-2022-2447Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Extended cloud access via uncapped token lifetime

Published Sep 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authorization expiration failure in OpenStack Keystone allows remote authenticated users to retain cloud API access with expired tokens. The application-credential token issuance path assigns the configured token lifetime without capping it at the credential's earlier expiration. An administrator must first obtain a token from a shorter-lived application credential; the token retains its granted cloud permissions until its own expiry, up to one hour by default.
