Local privilege escalation through undisclosed SSPI flaw
Published Mar 9, 2022 · Updated Jul 8, 2025
Elevation of privilege in SSPI in Microsoft Windows allows local users with low privileges to gain elevated privileges. Microsoft has not published the vulnerable SSPI code path or the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. Exploitation requires local execution under an existing low-privilege account, without user interaction, and increases the attacker’s authority on the affected host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
