Improper privilege management in Siemens SINUMERIK MC before 1.15 SP1 and SINUMERIK ONE before 6.15 SP1 allows local users to gain root. Siemens identifies a specific sequence of sc operations as the trigger but has not published which privilege check or transition is incorrect. A low-privileged local account is required; successful exploitation grants full device access, including reading and modifying G-code.
