SQL injection in Cyrus SASL 2.1.17 through 2.1.27 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries via a crafted password. The SQL auxiliary-property store code in plugins/sql.c places an unescaped password into INSERT or UPDATE statements, allowing SQL syntax to alter the query. Exploitation requires the SQL plugin and a credential-writing path; database effects are limited by the configured SQL account privileges.
