Uplink interception via zeroed session key

Authentication bypass in all versions of ETSI TETRA allows man-in-the-middle attackers to pin the DCK session key to zero. During mutual authentication, impersonated infrastructure supplies a palindromic random seed and reuses the predicted mobile-station challenge RAND2 as RAND1, causing identical key-derivation values to XOR to zero. The attack requires radio proximity and prediction of RAND2; success permits uplink interception and access to post-authentication protocol functions.
