Session hijacking via reflected multipart filename
Published Mar 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SAP Focused Run 2.00 and 3.00 Real User Monitoring allows remote authenticated users to hijack sessions via multipart upload. The /sap/bc/rest/rumupload service places an insufficiently sanitized multipart filename into a generated error page, where browser interpretation executes injected script. Exploitation requires an authenticated request and victim interaction; successful execution can steal the victim session or issue unwanted Focused Run requests with the victim's privileges.
