Authenticated command execution via unsanitized filename
Published May 17, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
OS command injection in Fidelis Network and Fidelis Deception before 9.4.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands. The CommandPost web interface passes the filename parameter supplied to update_checkfile into command execution without neutralizing command syntax. An authenticated web session and crafted HTTP request are required, and the resulting command output is returned in the HTTP response.
