Authenticated command execution via feed_comm_test request
Published May 17, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
OS command injection in Fidelis Network and Deception before 9.4.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute system commands. The CommandPost web interface dispatches the feed_comm_test operation without neutralizing command syntax in a crafted HTTP request and returns command output in the response. An authenticated web session is required; successful exploitation can read or alter CommandPost data and interrupt the service.
