CVE-2022-2439Network attack vector

Admin-level PHP object injection via PHAR path

Published Sep 24, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Deserialization in Easy Digital Downloads 3.3.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to invoke PHP objects via upload[file]. The administrative import path accepts a PHAR file reference and performs filesystem operations that cause PHP to deserialize archive metadata. Exploitation requires administrator privileges and a reachable POP chain; the available object methods determine whether site data is read, changed, or service is interrupted.
