Code execution via out-of-bounds C5P parsing
Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Fuji Electric ALPHA5 before 4.3 allows remote attackers to execute code by inducing a user to open a crafted C5P file. The Servo Operator module parses user-supplied C5P data without validating bounds, reading beyond an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires user interaction, and successful processing runs attacker-controlled code in the context of the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
