Information disclosure via XFA widget width validation
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in XFA form handling in Foxit PDF Reader 11.0.1.0719 for macOS allows remote attackers to disclose data. The XFA parser fails to validate the width attribute of certain widgets before reading the referenced object, causing a read past the allocation boundary. Exploitation requires a target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious PDF; direct impact is data disclosure, while code execution requires another vulnerability.
