Code execution via unchecked AcroForm object use
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in AcroForms in Foxit PDF Reader 11.1.0.52543 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted PDF. AcroForm handling performs operations on a freed or nonexistent object without first validating that the object remains valid. Opening the file or visiting a malicious page is required, and successful exploitation runs code with the current process's privileges.
