Authenticated arbitrary PHP object invocation via PHAR path
Published Sep 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in Download Manager 3.2.49 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to invoke arbitrary objects via a PHAR path. The package import logic passes file[package_dir] into file handling as a PHAR URI, causing PHP to deserialize attacker-controlled PHAR metadata. Exploitation requires Contributor-level access, a successful serialized-payload upload, and an available POP chain; the available object chain determines the resulting malicious actions.
