Code execution via stale Doc object access
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Foxit PDF Reader 11.1.0.52543 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code by opening a crafted PDF. Doc-object handling performs operations without first verifying that the object still exists, leaving a freed object accessible after page deletion. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file and runs code in the current process.
