Stored script injection via missing CSRF nonce
Published Jul 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
CSRF in AnyMind Widget 1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts by inducing an administrator action. The createDOMStructure() function in anymind-widget-id.php accepts a forged request without nonce validation and inserts attacker-controlled script content into the page. Exploitation requires an administrator with an authenticated WordPress session to follow an attacker-controlled link, after which the injected script executes in visitors' browsers.
