Memory-buffer bounds failure in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Control Expert V15.0 SP1 and earlier allows attackers to interrupt communications. The software mishandles a specifically manipulated Modbus response after interception of controller-to-engineering traffic, but Schneider Electric does not identify the affected parser or operation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction and a man-in-the-middle position and disrupts communication without reported data disclosure or modification.
